It is never too late to get back to your healthy eating goals. Focus on your plan and stick to it. Help yourself to keep those extra calories at bay
Set realistic goals Dieting is all about deciding how much weight you want to lose and working towards it. Weight charts tell us what our ideal weight should be. Don’t lose more than two pounds a week. Slow and steady definitely wins the race here. Reward yourself It is important to keep your spirits up and motivate yourself to stick to your eating plan. Counting calories and being strict about it is not easy. So do reward yourself with a treat, as this will encourage you to keep moving towards your goals. Do not be too hard on yourself Fat takes a while to work off. So if you have been indulging in chocolate one day, there’s no need to punish yourself. Just focus on healthy foods the next day. Getting a smaller plate of food is an intelligent thing to do. Get your friends and family to support you. Don’t go hungry It never is a good idea to skip a meal and hope it will take those extra inches off your waistline. All it does is make you hungrier and weaken your resolve to keep off those calories. Fill yourself up with high fiber food. Water fills your stomach too. If you like it, a slice of lime and ice makes it that much better. Find an exercise that you enjoy If you are one of those people who don’t feel like going to the gym, just seize any chance of getting some exercise. Try simple things like taking the stairs instead of the elevator or a short quick walk at lunchtime. If you enjoy going out dancing, you can burn off plenty of calories. But remember to consult your physician if you have not exercised recently. |
